	Renovation was carried out at JBC prior to the 150th Anniversary Celebrations. The work included increasing the seating capacity by 25%as well as redecoration.

On 11th October 08 men from Riverside Baptist Church and JBC participated in the "Big Men's Breakfast" whereby, men from Baptist churches all over the UK would be breakfasting at the same time. It was hoped to create a record as to the number participating. If I hear the outcome, watch this space. The national turnout was around 3000 which left the record of 18,000+ by the Texan Cowboys' intact.
During the building renovation work, services are being held in the vestry
		Harvest Supper A Fish 'n Chip Harvest Supper was held early October 08. During the evening young and old joined together to play an assortment of games which was followed by supper and a quiz.
A fund raising breakfast in aid of Care for Uganda was held mid September 08
Since May 2008 members of JBC have been assisting members from the former Knelston Baptist Church hold Worship Services at Scurlage Holiday Park. Many people have attended over the summer season. Some from the local community and also visitors on holiday from many parts of the UK.

Mid April 08 members of JBC entertained the senior citizens of Briton Ferry to a Saturday Afternoon Cream Tea. This was followed by a mix of songs performed by Johnny 2 Dogs.
